Jaguar is in hot soup. Very hot, steaming soup. The popular musician and Jubilee Starehe MP aspirant was in court yesterday where he was charged with careless driving and causing the death of two people.

His many hanger ons who want to be associated with his when he was balling were no where to be seen. Only one true pal was by his side.

Dressed in a blue hooded sweatshirt, black jeans and black shoes, Jaguar was taken to a Baricho court, Kirinyaga county, under heavy security and hustled into the dock to answer two charges of causing death by careless driving.

Scores of fans and curious public keen to catch a glimpse of the famous musician thronged the room. Prison warders and security officers had to control the mass that formed outside the tiny courtroom.

Jaguar, not keen to have his picture taken by photojournalists, used his hood to cover his face.

The court heard that on March 21 on the Makutano-Sagana road in Kirinyaga county, he caused the deaths of boda boda rider Peter Mugo and his passenger Sinfolian Maingi.

Jaguar denied the charges and asked the court to release him on bond.

The singer, who did not have a lawyer, argued that the charges he is facing are bailable.

Senior principal magistrate Evans Kiago released him on Sh 50,000 bail until June 26, when his case will be heard.

The court heard that Jaguar was driving to Nairobi from Nyeri when he lost control of his Range Rover and knocked down the rider and his passenger, killing them on the spot.

Traffic police rushed to the scene and started investigations.

The singer’s Range Rover was towed to the Sagana police station and detained for inspection.

Later, Jaguar was picked up for questioning and charged with a traffic offence.

Earlier, witnesses had said that a woman, and not Jaguar, was driving the car when it hit the rider and his passenger.

The only celebrity who showed up to support him was Mongolo. Here is the photo evidence.
