President Uhuru Kenyatta has been in Uganda over the weekend to attend the Kenya-Uganda business forum, address the country's parliament as well as hold bilateral talks with the Yoweri Museveni's government on working together towards mutual development and peaceful co-existence.

From it, we learned that it was a truly stately visit. He enjoyed his stay and we can't help but wish we had that life.

1. Ugandans love him

During his visit, just like U.S. President Barack Obama, he interacted with Ugandan citizens who showered him with love. They scrambled to greet him or at least take a selfie with him. His Facebook page was laced with positive comments from Ugandans, a sign of admiration and trust in him.

"no.....you spoke as the president of east Africa"

"Thanks a bunch His Excellence Uhuru Kenyatta for coming to check on us in uganda, hope to see u sooner than later again, my Kenyan brothers n sisters please love your president unlimitedly, he's a God-sent gift "

2. He is the true icon of leadership

His leadership style convinced U.S. President Barack Obama to visit Kenya. This was during the Global Entrepreneurship Summit. The visit brought a lot of unprecedented opportunities for Kenya and Africa as a whole. Kenya being one of the most admired countries in Africa - due to its diverse culture and robust economic growth - it has set a model for other nations to benchmark with. The fact that he was offered the chance to address the Ugandan parliament shows that many African leaders look up to him.

3. He may be grooming his son for future presidency

When U.S. President Barack Obama flew in for the GES, Muhoho Kenyatta was on location to welcome him. Various media outlets, such as Standard have observed the same thing. When Uhuru was younger, he traveled the world and met top leaders. He was brought up in State House, got to learn from various leaders, attend state functions and ultimately embraced a political career. He may be preparing his son for the same journey. The fact that Muhoho accompanied his dad in Uganda over the weekend serves as a possible sign of what his future holds.

4. Ugandan police have a quirky sense of humor

You may have expected the Ugandan police to play the greatest hits of all time as the main thematic song to praise Uhuru. However, they played an old KANU song, “Ooo KANU yajenga nchi." This happened at the Ugandan parliament buildings, where he inspected a guard of honor. This was a smartly orchestrated performance that rang bells in the heads of many.

5. The hospitality was splendid

Could this be the reason why he stayed longer at the 3-day event? Uhuru was expected to back in Kenya last night. Police officers were lined up along Mombasa and Uhuru high way to receive him. However, they were informed that he would not be jetting in later on. The State banquet was splendid and looking at the photo stream on his page, the visit was one of a kind. He enjoyed it to the utmost.
