Here Are 5 Reasons Why Kenyan Ladies Need To Stop Thinking Like Men

These are the reasons why you need to stop putting yourself on a man's pedestal;

  • YOU SET YOURSELF UP FOR DISAPPOINTMENT

 Males look at you from male perspectives. They can objectify you and in return you objectify yourself with extensions, plastic surgery, skin bleaching etc all to reach their standards not your own (at times) You set yourself up for comparison when all women were made different and beautiful in their own way. Once your strong suit becomes your looks you suggest to the man that’s the only appealing quality about yourself which can be found everywhere else.

  • IT TURNS WOMEN AGAINST EACH OTHER

 Once you view yourself from a man’s looking glass it becomes easier to pin point women against other women due to a comparison, intimidation, and competition. These superficial tendencies make it easier for men to use us and mould us into what they want. Girls compete but WOMEN empower.

  • USING MALE SLANG TO REFER TO ONE ANOTHER

THIS IS SO IMPORTANT. Hip-hop artistes have encouraged this in most of their songs and lyrics. It may seem harmless and okay seeing as it's just music but it’s not. Women have got to stop calling each other bitches and sluts. It suggests that men can do the same to us and that’s not okay.

  • BODY/SLUT SHAMING

A majority of the male mindset in societies is quite amusing. They yearn for the naked female body but are so quick to insult, disregard and shame it once they have seen it ( eg. MY DRESS MY CHOICE campaign ) A call to women to never dress up for the attention of a man, some have no regard for you and others may use it against you. OWN your style and dress it up or down for you!
