A 46 seater matatu has been swept off by floods from river Kiameli in Ukia Makueni. It is still unclear how many people were in the car during the accident.

This incident comes barely an hour after a six-storey building collapsed in Tasia, Embakasi East. It was not immediately established on what might have caused the building to sink.

Rains have caused havoc in most parts of Kenya. Weeks ago 43 people were killed by a land slide caused by heavy rains in West Pokot.

Dozens of families were displaced families.

According to States Spokesman Cyrus Oguna

'At least 132 people have been killed in floods and landslides caused by unusually heavy rainfall in Kenya. Around 17,000 were displaced and 11,000 livestock swept away by strong waters. More than half of the country has been affected.'
