That the Kenyan economy is in the doldrums is not in doubt. When taxes are raised everything goes up. When Sukuma Wiki becomes as costly as an egg you know sh1t has hit the fan.

But not everyone seems to be struggling. There are some Kenyans who are doing very well for themselves. How well? So well, they are making more money than most company CEO's!

One of those Kenyans is 28-year-old Sylvia Wambui. She is the co-owner of Ridgeways Inn – The Yard. The lady is now embroiled in a court case before Resident Magistrate Georginah Opakasi about the ownership of the 300 million shilling property.

She was on Monday arraigned in a Kinangop court for allegedly forging ownership documents of the hotel that is located on Kiambu Road.

The State was given time by the court to arrest two other people who had been charged along with Wambui. The allegation is that Wambui and the two who are on the run forged ownership documents for Bebadis Company Limited, which owns the hotel.

In effect, the claim is that the result of the forging was that she became the sole director of the company. The complainant in the case, lawyer Paul Njihia, claimed that Wambui and her accomplices who are still on the run had used his official stamp to create counterfeit transfer documents.

This resulted in her two co-owners being kicked out. Her two co-owners being ex-fiancée Daniel Kariuki and Ruth Wanjiru.

In an affidavit signed by Mr. Kariuki her ex-fiancee, he claimed that said the hotel has a revenue of Sh18 million in a month which Wambui was now collecting!

How about that? That translates to 216 million shillings! Lanes.
