Barely 24 hours had passed after a local website published a story accusing award winning gospel singer Willy Paul for deserting his mum, he has come out to clear the air.

According to the website, the scandalous singer has left his biological mother to languish in abject poverty in the Mathare slums while he is eating life with a big spoon and fronting someone else as his biological mother.

The controversial singer has finally come out to comment on this and in an interview with SDE, he revealed that he has always taken care of his mum; Salome Radido.

“I am absolutely shocked at the level that these publications have stopped to. I have and will always take care of my mother. “My big brother and I wanted to move her from that house but she refused. She instead requested that we buy land and build her a house. A venture we have been working on,”

Willy continued.

When asked about the woman he took a photo that's making rounds on social media

“That woman is my godmother. She is the one who took care of me when I ventured out of my mother’s nest. I have always strived to protect my mother from the limelight, that is why I don’t post pictures of her,"

concluded the scandalous singer.
