He's one of the fastest rising gospel artists in the country. His distinct style, characterized by Jamaican Patois lingo infused with a local beat is what has made him stand out. Hopekid's songs “Holiday”, “A dream” and “Live Up” been household hits for the whole of 2014 and beyond.

He's a humble guy who relates well with his counterparts in the industry. The musician started his music career after finishing high school back in 2010 and released his first single in January 2011. I had a brief chat with him and here's what he had to say;

Me: How was your year  (2014) music?

HK: My year was a blessing in my life, I saw so much and learnt so much...

Me: What do you hope to achieve in the next five years?

HK: In the next five  years only God knows what He has in store for me....For many are our plans but he determines the future.

Me: What's your message to your fans as we begin the year?

HK: Serve God with all your heart......love Him with all you got and you'll see His glory and kindness. ...favour and blessings.

Me: What's your biggest achievement so far?

HK: God gave me an Album dubbed #AmBlessed

Me: Who do you thank most for helping you get to where you are today?

HK: God held my hand all along, I give no man no credit ...cause God uses people.
