Established by a former Football Kenya Federation official Vincent Radido 36 years ago, Koth biro tournament aims at grooming and improving t and providing an avenue for young boys to display their talents.

Its always an off season tournament whereby both players from Kenya Premier League and their counterparts from the small leagues participate. This also enables players keep fit and helps coaches scout for new players ahead of the season. Those who may have been dropped by their former clubs also enjoy the tournament as they use such opportunities to show their skills and get clubs to play for come new season. The tournament always start in November and ends in January (first week).

Whereas young people from different cities of the country engage in terrorism, robbery and drug abuse, the youths from Nairobi county always have something to keep them busy. Most of them take it positively as they are inspired by some of our great footballers like former Harambee Stars captain Mike Okoth, Jamal Mohamed, among others. Through the years, Koth Biro has indeed nurtured some of the greatest stars in Kenyan football and still aims to nurture more.
