Tragic! Kameme FM Star Gathoni Muchomba Bereaved -Loses Brother To Alcoholism

The younger brother to a vernacular radio queen in Mediamax limited Gathoni Muchomba has died of alcoholism.
The late Stephen Kinyua Muchomba aged 37 years, a father of two died yesterday and his body found dumped at their gate at Morrem village, Makuyu in Murang’a county.

According to her mother Esther Gathoni Muchomba, she last seen her last born on Sunday morning when he rode his bicycle and went off only to receive news that his body has been found dumped at their gate 8am on Monday.
The Wife of the late Kinyua died three years ago leaving the later under parenting of their two kids, a girl in college and a boy form three student.
His sister, Gathoni Muchomba – Muiguithania programme Host on Kameme FM- said her brother was a known drunkard and when he drinks high he collapse like epileptic person suspecting her brother died in a bar he was drinking beer but realizing he is dead, his body carried and dumped at their home, saying it didn’t bear injuries apart from slight one on one side of the head.
 Muchomba  who has been in the fore front to fight irresponsible drinking in the country called upon the president to intervene crying foul that  youths will perish of alcoholism.
The Kameme fm presenter said alcoholism in the area has provided fertile ground for heinous act  sodomy and beastiality to say the least, recalling past one  week a drunkard man was sodomised and went insane.
She challenged political leaders and the community to say no to alcoholism and urged the county governments not to focus more on revenue they collect from beer industry but focus on the next generation.
Makuyu ward Rep Danson Mburu and Kabiti/Maragua ridge counterpart David Kabaka visited Muchomba’s home to give their condolences demanding Makuyu to carry out thorough investigations and bring to book the assailants.
