The African music industry is mourning the death of legendary singer Oliver Mtukudzi. Diamond Platnumz is among the many, who've paid tribute to the fallen hero.

The legendary Zimbabwean singer passed away on Wednesday after suffering from diabetes. Mtukudzi had recorded 66 albums during his career and was working on his 67 at the time of his passing.

He was aged 66. Tanzanian crooner Diamond Platnumz described the late music icon as a humble man and his message read;

May Your Humbled Soul Rest in Paradise Baba Mtukudzi.....🙏🏻

Oliver Mtukudzi was known for songs such as; "Todii", "Wasakara", "Neria", "Hear me Lord", "Tozeza", "Ndakuvara", "Mutserendende Chiri Nani", just to mention but a few.
