Priscilla Wangechi was about to bring into the world a new life but that was not to be as her life was snuffed in mysterious and tragic circumstances. No parent should experience what hr parents are going through.

The heavily pregnant woman was visiting her parents in law at their Rongai home. Priscilla had left her Dandora home the day before and I don't thinks she knew that this would be the last dya she would be alive.

The body of the six-month pregnant woman was found lying in fetal position with a rope around her neck, her mouth taped, and the rope tied to a bedpost.

She had gone there to help her mother-in-law prepare food for her jumuiya group at the family home in Nkoroi. Wangechi who was expecting twins had previously disagreed with her in-laws but still honoured the call after her aunt saw no harm in the invite.

A source claimed that Wangechi would spend time at her parents-in-law home even though he was away working in Dubai. But the cordial relationship was put under immense strain when a robbery takes place in the home. She was blamed for not being at home at the time. Seriously what could a pregnant woman do?

Wangechi arrived at her parents-in-law home at 4 p.m. She took a nap because she was tired. Sadly, that would be the last time she would be seen alive. Diana Gachengo her cousins says:

“The in-laws claim Wangechi later decided to go to her husband’s house which is in the same compound and they didn’t see her again until Sunday morning, When they didn’t see her by evening, they went to check on her, only to find her dead.”

Peter Mwaura, Wangechi’s father-in-law, reported the death at Nkoroi Police Post the next day at 6pm. Why the long delay? Wangechi’s family was informed on February 11 at 10am after cops visited the scene. Gachengo asked?

“Why would a suicidal person spread a bedsheet on the floor, kneel on it, tie her neck with a rope and attach it to a bed post, and then use duct tape to cover her mouth?”

But her family were not convinced and hired their own pathologist. The conclusion was very telling. She had been strangled and the time of death was put on Saturday night at 10:30 pm. Gachengo ruefully concluded:

“We all knew there was a bit of friction between her and her in-laws. Her husband had warned her against stepping into their family home."

This is really sad! What happened? Only Wangechi knows for sure.
