Kenyan nurse turned digital content creator and comedian David Oyando popularly known as Mulamwah has announced that if anyone wants to see his newborn son's face they will have to cough up millions of shillings.
A moment of silence for the deluluness that is Kenyan content creators and social media "celebrities."
You all remember when Eric Omondi and his girlfriend Lynne tried pulling the same move last year for their daughter's face reveal, noting they were charging Sh. 50 Million, only to end up plastering it all over social for us free of charge. Without us even asking if, I might add.
Or Amber Ray asking people to subscribe to a paid video viewing site to see her daughter's face reveal only for Africanah Rapudo's photos to flood the media.
However, Mulamwah is not bothered by his predecessor's failures, his eyes are set on the prize.
The comedian, in a recent interview, announced that he was planning to do things differently. He hoped that if all went well he would charge Sh100 million for his son's face reveal.
“The face reveal will come at the right time…maybe we will charge Sh100 million but believe me, we will do things differently,' stated the father of 2.
He went on to add that being a celebrity did not come with any pointers which is why he was cruising through life as he saw fit.
“There is no marking scheme to being a celebrity, just do what you believe is right and enjoy yourself and those fans will enjoy or will be happy with you,” the comic said.
Mulamwah and his wife Ruth K announced the arrival of their son on February 10, 2024. Shortly afterward, they went on to open an Instagram page for him (as expected) where they introduced him to the public as Oyando Junior or Kalamwah if you please.
