Nigerian Grammy-nominated artist Davido through his socials has called upon American rapper, producer, and fashion icon Kanye West to switch allegiance with his former shoe line partner following his latest online rant.

Davido who was back in 2021 announced as brand ambassador for PUMA in sub-Saharan Africa, North America, and across the world bluntly tried persuading Kanye to move from Adidas to its competitor's (Puma) camp for two main reasons. One, he works with Puma, and two, Ye's never-ending issue with Adidas.

Yesterday,  February 26, 2024, Kanye went on a social media rant calling out his former partners Adidas.

In the heavily worded and emotional Instagram video, the father of 4 claimed the German luxury brand was allegedly putting out fake Yeezy's without his consent and to make things worse (as per him) they were not giving him even a fraction of the money made.

The multi-award-winning rapper went on to reveal that the German athletic apparel and footwear corporation which is easily identified by three-stripe trademark was still suing him for a whopping $250 million!

"Let me clearly explain to you guys what is going on with Adidas. Not only are they putting out fake shoes that are not approved, they are suing me for 250 million dollars and they are also not paying me for the shoes that they are putting out that have my name on them.

They are also using contract clauses and 50 years of business experience to rape an artiste, one of your favourite artistes, in front of y'all, in broad daylight," the creative fashion designer angrily said in his Instagram post.

In yet another post, he called upon his fans to boycott the brand, and stop buying the alleged fake Yeezy's

"Anybody who loves Ye would not buy these fake Yeezys I never made these colour ways I’m not getting paid off of them and Adidas is suing me. All the new non-approved 350’s are cooorny," wrote the controversial  American rapper.

Following his rants, Davido came in cap flying ready to save the day. He shared a screen grab of the rapper's post on his Instagram stories and captioned the post,"Come to @puma YE," as he tried recruiting the creative genius over to where his bread was buttered.

Another celebrity who reacted to the latest of Kanye's drama was fellow American rapper turned actor, Snoop Dogg, who encouraged his colleague not to be silenced, "Speak ya truth," advised Snoop.

The footwear brand ended its partnership with the then-billionaire rapper back in 2022 following a series of antisemitic comments he repeatedly made.

After parting ways with the superstar, Adidas announced it would try selling off its leftover Yeezy inventory.
