On January 18, 2024, Carol Katrue posted a picture showing her partner, wearing an oxygen mask, resting on a hospital bed. She asked for prayers without explaining further.

Later, arising from pressure from Kikuyu musician Karangu wa Muraya, Katrue opened up.

Peter has undergone several surgeries owing to complications on his intestines that she claimed stemmed from a medical procedure gone wrong years back.

A week ago, the couple had appealed to Kenyans for funds to offset their hospital bill.

She admitted that those health struggles had taken a toll on them, and continued to implore others to help out.

The outstanding bill was sh1.6million that the family needed ahead of his discharge from the hospital.

On 29th January, their son also paid a visit to the hospital in a happy family moment.
