Weeks after reaching a million subscribers, Diana Marua has returned to her YouTube channel to express her gratitude.
The mother of three decided to show appreciation to her domestic staff for their support on her YouTube journey, gifting them with perfumes, shoes, clothes, and money.
The content creator is still coming to terms with her significant milestone and hinted at planning something major for hitting one million subscribers.
She assured her audience to "Stay tuned and wait for it. For now, I start from home" as she announced her plan to gift her staff.
In a heartfelt speech, Diana thanked her three house managers, acknowledging their role in her success.
"This is my first video after we reached a million. I felt the need to appreciate home first. So you guys have seen that I haven't made it here alone. My entire household has been a force to make sure that we are where we are today," she expressed her gratitude to her domestic workers.
Her nannies, who have been instrumental in supporting her, were visibly happy to be included in her appreciation.
Diana emphasized, "Because they have supported me. You guys have helped me create content; you have been vulnerable, opening up about your lives, your highs and lows. You have pushed for me, and I was telling people I want to appreciate you. Charity begins at home."
Acknowledging the sacrifices made by her staff, Diana revealed, "Sometimes I even cancel your off days when I need to shoot. I don't take it for granted. You guys deserve to be appreciated."
She then invited them to her bedroom, where they could pick any item from her closet.
"I can't even do a quarter of what you guys do. You make sure our clothes are ironed, bedrooms are clean. Those tasks are not easy, and you play a big role. You see here I have so many perfumes. Some I have never used. Sort yourselves out. Divide equally amongst yourselves," Diana expressed her generosity.
To add to the gesture, Diana handed each staff member an envelope of cash. She encouraged them, saying, "In this envelope is something. Go and do shopping for your family or whatever you want."
Addressing concerns about potential backlash for clout chasing, one of her nannies expressed worry about being asked to return the gifts once the cameras stop rolling.
Diana reassured her online audience that this wasn't the case, emphasizing that she was genuinely giving them the gifts.
She pointed to her staff and urged Kenyans to seek clarity from them, saying, "Ask them if you have any questions."
