Mugithi singer Kioi Jnr has been laid to rest in Muranga County.

He was buried on Thursday, May 9.

Among those who attended the burial was Mugithi singer Samidoh.

The two had a tight bond as the deceased had helped Samidoh hone his guitar skills.

The father of four touched mourners after he wept during the burial.

Samidoh who was seen wailing had before that performed at the burial.

Samidoh was given a microphone and walked to the podium, where he performed for the late mugithi singer.

He stopped mid-speech to walk to Kioi's casket.

 He shed tears and lay on top of the casket until mourners helped him walk to his seat, where he cried some more.

Kioi passed away on April 29 at Kenyatta University Referral Hospital, where he was undergoing treatment.
