Nigerian singer David Adeleke aka Davido says he deserves 20 Grammys despite being nominated thrice in the upcoming Grammy Awards.
Speaking to France 24, the 'Unavailable' hitmaker said;
“Shout-out to the Recording Academy. This is my first nomination ever. So it’s crazy to get three at once," he said
Adding, “We worked really hard on this album. I was just really patient. So, if you ask me if I deserve Grammys in the past, I already need 20 Grammys. But, like I said, God’s timing is the best. We will see what happens.”
Davido has been nominated in the Best Music Album category for the album 'Timeless' while his songs ‘Feel’ and ‘Unavailable’ are nominated in the Best Global Music Performance and Best African Music Performance categories, respectively.
The 66th Grammy awards will go down on February 4th in Los Angeles. The awards will be hosted by comedian Trevor Noah.
